<p>A method for fitting a banderole on the circumference of shaped cheeses, in which after the ripening process and cheese plastic has been placed thereon, the cheeses are lightly moistened on the circumference on the cheese plastic, through which said cheese plastic softens on its surface thereby fixing the banderole wound round the respective cheeses. The winding with the banderole is carried out automatically with a banderole of light tissue paper or teabag paper, which is previously moistened. The moisture can be water with a solvent such as a fungicide. A device for carrying out this method is provided at least with a cheese conveyor duct (1) having a flat conveyor belt (5) and two longitudinal duct walls (5,6,), one of which consists of a continuously driven conveyor belt, while the other is a stationary wall, and a banderole feed device (12) with a banderole supply roll (20) and a banderole apportioning element, in addition to means for feeding in the banderole at the cheese infeed end of the conveyor belt. An automatic moisture-dosing element (26) is fitted near the cheese infeed end of the conveyor belt (5) for the purpose of moistening the banderole (8).</p> |
