PURPOSE:To heighten the efficiency of processing, by causing a pipe to both rotate and revolve so that the centrifugal acceleration is much higher than the gravitational acceleration. CONSTITUTION:Rotary frames 4, 5 loosely fitted on a revolving shaft 2 are coupled to each other by clamping members 6. Cylinders 8, in which a mixture 7 of workpieces and a polishing agent are sealed up, and the clamping members 6 are placed in equiangular positions at prescribed radii of revolution around the shaft 2 and balanced so that the center of gravity as a whole is on the shaft. Driving power is transmitted from a prime mover through a pulley 12 secured on the rotary frame 4. A difference is set between the revolution speed of the rotary frame 4 and that of the shaft 2 by gear engagement so that the cylinders 8 are rotates as well. As a result, a centrifugal acceleration several times greater than the acceleration of gravity is caused to enhance the efficiency of processing. |
