<p>PURPOSE: To reduce a display image without loosing information at all by storing plural character sets based upon character block width which is smaller than usual and using the character sets for reduction processing. CONSTITUTION: By a document preparing function, information on character sets selected at the time of use in a reduced window in a figure 7 may be mounted as hardware such as a ROM or generated by software. In a document which is being prepared, a window is displayed and when another document which is being prepared is reduced and displayed in the window, a table containing all of a character set that can be used and displayed matching the window is stored in a storage mechanism 13. Each character set includes width attributes and height attributes. As the window becomes small, characters displayed in the width can be all reduced and displayed without being lost.</p> |
