1. Process for stabilising the viscosity of saline solutions of polysaccharides subjected to a high temperature for an extended period of time, characterized in that it comprises : a) the preparation of a saline aqueous solution of a heteropolysaccharide having sufficient ionic strength to give rise to the ordered form of the polysaccharide, b) the removal of the dissolved oxygen by outgassing using carbon dioxide, and c) the addition of at least one reducing agent/oxygen scavenger in an amount which is effective for maintaining the pH of the solution at a value between 5 and 7. |
