<p>PURPOSE:To perform the temperature compensation of tape traveling characteristics by providing a rotatably supported tape guide roller and a thermosensitive deformable member provided in the vicinity of the tape guide roller. CONSTITUTION:The thermosensitive deformable member 8 is constituted in a bimetal type or formed out of a shape memory alloy, etc., in a bent washer shape and then fitted coaxially underneath the tape guide roller 1. The tape guide roller 1 is supported with a slight gap in the axial direction so as to be rotatable. Then, since the thermosensitive deformable member 8 is specifically deformed at more than a prescribed temperature or less than the prescribed temperature to stop the rotation of the tape guide roller 1, the tape tension can be prevented from lowering, etc. By this method, deterioration in tape traveling characteristics is compensated so as not to change too much the characteristics, thus extending the usable temperature range.</p> |
