DETECTING SYSTEM FOR PROGRAM RUNAWAY OF MICROCOMPUTER

PURPOSE:To detect the runaway of a program with higher accuracy by detecting the number of stages of a nesting based on the start and the end of a subroutine program of an interruption program and outputting a runaway detecting signal when the abnormality is detected to reset a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:When a program has the runaway, the nesting stage number has an error. Then a nesting stage number detecting means 11 detects the nesting stage number based on the start and the end of a subroutine program and an interruption program. When this detecting result is abnormal, a runaway detecting signal is outputted. Then a resetting means 12 resets a microcomputer 11 based on the runaway detecting signal. Thus the program runaway is surely detected.
