摘要 PURPOSE:To control the position of a web with high accuracy and good responsiveness by selecting either feedback control or prediction control in accordance with the conditions of the web and a rotary press, and determining the control quantity from the deviation of the web. CONSTITUTION:The width directional position of the edge of a web W being fed to a rotary press along guide rollers 32 is measured by a measuring sensor head 31. In a control unit 36 into which the above measured signal is input, when a paper feeding signal, a winding diameter signal, and a tension variation signal from the feeding part of the press are input, there is the possibility that the control method is subjected to a change before the deviation from the reference position of the web W is not sufficiently controlled, so that prediction control is selected, while at the time of the other ordinary operating condition feedback control is selected. And, the control quantity is obtained through the deviation from the reference position of the web W, and the positions of guide rollers 32 are controlled via a driving circuit 35 and a pulse motor 34. Thus, the width directional position of the web can be controlled with high accuracy and good responsiveness.
