PURPOSE:To make it possible to provide a contrast between a mark and the other area even when a object to be marked has a black or other similar dark body colar, by disposing a color forming tape between the object to be marked and a laser light source, with the color forming side of the tape opposed to the object, and irradiating the tape with laser light to transfer a color forming substance onto the object. CONSTITUTION:A color forming tape 11 is disposed between an object 4 to be marked and a laser light source 1, with the color forming side of the tape opposed to the object 4. The tape 11 is heated at a part thereof irradiated with laser light L, and a color forming substance contained in the tape 11 is transferred from the irradiated part onto the object 4. The color of the color forming substance can be selected from a variety of colors. Because transferring is conducted by disposing the color forming tape with a selectable color between the object to be marked and the laser light source, color transferring with a distinct contrast can be conducted, irrespective of the color of the object to be marked is a dark color or a light color, and an extremely clear mark can be obtained on the object. |
