PURPOSE:To obtain a photographic sensitive material which is super-hard- contrasted by a developing soln. of pH of a specific value by incorporating a specific compd. into a silver halide emulsion layer or other hydrophilic colloid layer. CONSTITUTION:The negative type silver halide photographic sensitive material which is super-hard-contrasted by the developing soln. having <=11.2pH is obtd. when >=1 kinds of the compds. respectively expressed by general formulas I, II are incorporated into the silver halide emulsion layer or hydrophilic colloid layer on the base of a photosensitive material. In formula I, Z<1>: a nonmetallic atom group necessary for forming 5-, 6-membered heterocycles, R<1>: an aliphat. group, X: the structure expressed by formula III, Q: a nonmetallic atom group necessary for forming 4--12-membered nonarom. hydrocarbon rings, Yn: n-pieces of counter ions for charge balance; In formula II, Y: a group which is adsorbed on silver halide, X: a divalent combination group of the atoms or atom groups selected from an H atom, C atom, N atom, O atom, and S atom, A: a divalent combination group, B: amino acid, ammonium group, nitrogen-contained heterocycle, (m): 1-3, (n): 0 or 1. |
