The invention relates to a pump having a magnetic lift-off device for non-contact start-up and run-down of a hydraulic relief device. The latter relates to a permanent-action lift-off device which cannot be adversely affected by external interference and is thus reliably functional (operational). In a rotor system section rotating in the flow medium, and in a fixed pump section situated opposite thereof, one or more permanent magnets each are arranged in pairs which, owing to their magnetisation, ensure that a relief gap is provided.
