<p>PURPOSE:To prevent making of a mistake in a picture recording operation by detecting a tape remaining amt. in a loaded cassette, comparing a preset recording time with the tape remaining amt. and selecting a tape speed. CONSTITUTION:The above device is equipped with a means (tape remaining amt. detecting part) 2 for detecting the tape remaining amt. in the loaded cas sette, a means 3 for comparing the preset recording time with the tape remaining amt. and a means (control part) 5 for selecting the tape speed based on this comparing means. By this method, since the tape remaining amt. can instantly be detected upon insertion of the cassette, the recording can automati cally be commenced in preference of a standard mode by deciding the tape remaining amt. with this device without taking care at all.</p> |
