<p>PURPOSE:To extremely facilitate the input of such characters as English words, etc., that have unfixed sizes and are conventionally difficult to undergo the input by controlling the character frames in response to the handwriting actions. CONSTITUTION:A character pattern supplied from a tablet 8 is stored in a stroke pattern storing buffer 9 for each stroke. At the same time, the character pattern is sent to a display control part 10 and a character frame control part 14. The part 14 segments the character segmenting signal based on the logic of a character frame control table 15 to a segmentation control part 12. The part 12 sends the contents of the buffer 9 to a recognizing part 13 as a single unit of recognition and sends the result of recognition to the part 10. Then the part 10 displays both the stroke information and the character frame information on a display tube 11.</p> |
