PURPOSE:To make it possible to simply limit the locus range of each ink tube, by holding plural ink tubes connected to ink jet printing elements on a carriage by a flexible cable. CONSTITUTION:The position of a carriage 4 is determined by an optical slit plate 7 having plural slits and a photoelectric element provided to the side of the carriage 4 and printing is carried out with respect to the printing paper of a platen 8 by the emission of an ink from an ink jet model. When the carriage 4 is reciprocally scanned, an ink supply tube 9 and an ink suction tube 10 are reciprocally moved in the same direction as a flexible cable 6. This cable 6 has protruded parts 11, 12 provided to both sides of the horizontal part A thereof and the protruded end part 13 of the protruded part 11 is inserted into the window part 14 provided to the protruded part 12 to form a band in which both tubes 9, 10 are inserted. Therefore, both tubes are swung on the same locus as the flexible cable and the locus range thereof is limited. |
