An electrical inclination sensor and a control circuit for the sensor

The sensor comprises a body 1 to 3 defining a closed chamber which is partially filled with an electrically conducting liquid 11. A main electrode 7 to 10 and a first and second auxiliary electrode extend through the chamber such that a variation in the inclination of the body from a predetermined position causes a corresponding variation in the electrical resistance between each auxiliary electrode and the main electrode. The control circuit of the sensor comprises a generator which delivers square-wave signals to the auxiliary electrodes 4, 5 in phase opposition, and a detector/amplifier which is synchronised with the generator and which samples the signal received from the main electrode of the sensor. <IMAGE>
