PURPOSE:To enhance security of halftone dots and reproducibility of hue and depth in color superposition, by using a biaxially stretched polyolefin multilayer film including an inorganic pigment as a base, and providing an oil-absorptive coated layer containing aragonite-type calcium carbonate, at least on one side of the base in a specified coating weight. CONSTITUTION:A multilayer film comprising as a main constituent a biaxially stretched polyolefin film containing an inorganic pigment is used as a base, and an oil-absorptive coated layer containing aragonite-type calcium carbonate is provided at least on one side of the base by 15-50g/m<2> coating weight. If the coating weight is less than 15g/m<2>, ink receptivity is poor, whereas a coating weight of more than 50g/m<2> is uneconomical and leads to a lower surface strength. When the receiving layer has an oil absorption of 5-30ml/m<2>, uniform reproducibility, particularly of hues and depth, of full-color recorded images can be realized. The receiving sheet for thermal transfer is excellent in clearness of color formation, gradation properties and uniformity at lower and higher depths, and enables hard copying through using a small-size full-color thermal transfer printer. |
