PURPOSE:To improve the balance between the fading of an image due to light and that in the dark, and to increase the preservability of the image and the aging stability of a sensitive material by hardening an emulsion layer contg. a specified cyan coupler and a specified (co)polymer with a specified compd. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide emulsion layer dispersed fine particles contg. a cyan coupler represented by formula I and a (co)polymer insoluble in water but soluble in an org. solvent, e.g., polymethyl methacrylate is formed on PE laminated paper. A cyanuric chloride type hardening agent represented by formula II and/or III is incorporated into the emulsion layer or an auxiliary layer. In the formula I, R1 is alkyl, aryl, etc., R2 is acylamino or alkyl, R3 is H, halogen, etc., and Z is H or a group releasable by a reaction with the oxidized product of a prescribed developing agent. In the formula II, R4 is Cl, hydroxy, etc., and R5 is hydroxy, alkyl, etc. In the formula III, each of R6 and R7 is Cl, hydroxy, etc., each of Q and Q' is -O-, -S-, etc., L is alkylene or arylene and each of l1 and l2 is 0 or 1. |
