PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which can markedly decrease loss of product by decreasing a purging agent remaining in a path to zero, by mixing an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer with a polyamide-(polyester-)polyether compolymer so that a specified relationship of the MI between the mixed polymer and the copolymer to be purged may be satisfied. CONSTITUTION:The title composition (A) is obtained by mixing 30-95wt.% ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer (a) of an ethylene content of 25-60mol.% and a degree of saponification of the vinyl acetate portion of at least 90% with 70-5wt.% polymer (b) selected from among a polyamide/polyether copolymer and a polyamide-polyester-polyether copolymer so that relationships of formulas I-II [wherein MI(A) is the melt index (g/10min, 190 deg.C-2,160g) of component A, MI(B) is that of component B, D(A) is the swell ratio of component A, and D(B) is that of component B] may be satisfied. An ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer is meltextruded with an extruder, and component A is fed to the extruder to purge component B remaining in the path of the molten resin. |
