摘要 Methods are already known for establishing the size and velocity of moving spherical particles in a multiphase system. These normally work according to the laser-Doppler principle. It is here disadvantageous that these allow no conclusions about the surface structure of the particles to be measured. The invention is concerned with extending the laser-Doppler method known per se for determining the surface structure of spherical particles in a multiphase stream. According to the invention the values for determining the surface structure of the particles to be measured are extracted from the measuring signals picked up by measuring detectors and, in detail, according to previous spectral analysis (Fourier transformation). The method is especially suitable for determining the roughness of the surface of approximately spherical particles which are moving in a gaseous or liquid medium.
