<p>PURPOSE:To effectively prevent stock from slipping at biting and normal rolling by smoothly switching a constant torque control to a constant peripheral speed control at transition of the rolled steel material from a biting to a normal rolling states and maintaining a peripheral speed in a constant value during normal rolling. CONSTITUTION:A filter 10 eliminating noises such as electrical current ripples contaminating a differential signal of a load current is installed, a blind sector width 17 deciding an operating range of load balance control is switched at biting and after biting to perform a constant torque control at biting time and to smoothly change the constant torque control to a constant peripheral speed control after biting. Hence, contradict slip phenomena at biting and normal rolling of the stock are restrained. Therefore, quality of a rolled product and operating capacity, and roll specific productivity are markedly improved.</p> |
