The holder for holding down a brake-shoe (1) consists of a plate (2) in which is a right-angled hole (2a). The front of the plate (2) has the brake-shoe (1) has an arm (3) with hole (3a) into which fits a pin (4). One end of the pin (4) has an insertion-piece (4b) going through the right-angled hole (2a). - A cup (5) engages with the head (4c) of the pin (4) and has between it (5) and the brake-shoe arm (3) a spring (6) which is normally compressed. The pin (4) head (4c) has a notch (4d).
