This invention relates to a method of filing a document as a folder in an information processing system for managing a group of documents included in the folder. An end user indicates to the system that a document is to be created as a folder. A number of documents are identified which are to be included in the folder document. A logical relationship is then specified for the identified documents. The identified documents are then filed in the folder having the logical relationship relating to the order which the documents will be stored therein.
