摘要 The invention relates to a frame construction for a motor vehicle having a frame with longitudinal carriers. According to the invention, the longitudinal carriers (1) are divided in front of the unit suspension (2), the front first longitudinal carrier components (3) being constructed as deformation elements which are connected to the rear second longitudinal carrier components (4) by means of screw connections (5). The longitudinal carrier components (3) are to be dimensioned here in such a way that in the case of a low-speed impact they absorb the impact energy by deformation and the second longitudinal carrier components (4) are still not deformed. As a result, a repair can be carried out by replacing the first longitudinal carrier components (3) with little outlay and in a cost- effective manner. In a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the abutment faces of the connection (5) are to be constructed to be rotationally symmetrical so that the front longitudinal carrier components (3) can be rotated and adjusted in order to compensate production tolerances in the space.
