PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of molten steel at a discharging hole in a vessel by arranging an arm, which supports a nozzle and presses to the vessel, and also a pressure measuring instrument to the arm and controlling arm pressing force based on the pressure measured value. CONSTITUTION:In connecting part between a tundish 14 as the vessel and a submerged nozzle 20, a socket 24 is arranged to the short nozzle 20 and one pair of arms 30 are arranged to handles 26, 28. The pressure measuring instrument 34 of load cell, etc., is arranged to the arm 30 and connected with a control device 36 for arm driving device 32. During continuous casting, when the pressing force between the handles 26, 28 and the arm 30 lowers, the instrument 34 detects lowering of the detected pressure, and by controlling the driving device 32, the pressing force of the arm 30 is increased. By this method, as the submerged nozzle 20 is always pressed to the vessel 14 at the prescribed pressure, the leakage of the molten steel at the discharging hole in the vessel is surely prevented. |
