A new protein contains a polypeptide contg. a site which combines with protein-A antibody, together with a lymphotoxin polypeptide. The sequence of the protein is given (440 amino-acid residues). Also claimed are a DNA sequence coding for the protein, a plasmid (pPRALT-1) incorporating the DNA sequence; E. coli transformants contg. plasmid pPRALT-1; and the prodn. of the new protein by culture of the transformant organisms.
