PURPOSE:To improve the operation responsiveness by forming a valve member from the nonmetallic material having a specific value of specific gravity and forming a hardened layer on the surface, in the constitution in which the valve member which is moved in reciprocation by an electromagnetic actuator is installed in a valve body. CONSTITUTION:In a valve body 11 assembled at the top edge part of a valve case having an electromagnetic actuator built in, a slender needle-shaped valve member 20 having two slidable parts 21 and 22 is fitted in slidable ways into a guide hole 17, and said valve member 20 opens and closes an injection hole 14 by attaching and separating the contact part 23 for a valve seat 16. In this case, the valve member 20 is made of the nonmetallic material having a specific gravity of 5 or less as basic material, e.g., aluminum alloy (specific gravity of 2.7), and a hardened layer 61 made of titanium nitride is formed on the surface. In this case, a tapered part 62 is formed at the positions corresponding to the slidable parts 21 and 22 of the valve member 20, and after the hardening treatment, the tapered part 62 is grinding-worked so that the outer periphery is made parallel to a guide hole 17, and the gap (alpha) is adjusted. |
