PURPOSE: To realize permanent electric contact with conductive insulated conductor by providing a support tool which is fitted to a frame body on both sides of a wire insertion tool, and has a wire connection portion support face opposite to the insertion tool. CONSTITUTION: An electric connector 2 is composed of a long insulated housing 4 forming one row of terminal accepting cavities 6. The cavities 6 are separated by partitions 7 crossing the housing 4, and two recessed portions on both ends are formed between one of the respective partitions 7 and the end portion side wall of the housing 4. The respective cavities 6 accept electric terminals 10, the terminals 10 are composed of tab-like receptacle portions 12 and wire connection portions 14 made of pairs of parallel plates 16, and wire slots 18 are formed in the respective ones. The parallel plates 16 are combined at the upper end portions thereof by belt-like portions 20 made of terminal material. A covered insulation wire W is thrust between the belt-like portion 20, is inserted into the slot 18 opened orthogonal to the long axis of the wire W, and the edge of the slot 18 sticks in the cover of the wire W. Thereby, permanent electric contact with conductive insulation conductor can be realized. |
