摘要 A clamping device is described for the clamping, in a force-absorbing manner of the belt 3, in the case of which clamping is carried out by inclination of the plates 1 and 2. In the rest position, the belt 3 can pass through the plate slots unhindered. In the event of danger, the lower supported plate 2 is tilted via a sensor-activated slide 6, so that all the plates are displaced with respect to one another. In this process, the clamping edges 7 move towards one another on the slots 20 of two adjacent plates in each case, and clamp the belt. The height at which the load is exerted can be freely selected via the number of plates. The advantage of this clamping principle is that lengths of belt extended can be short owing to the fact that smaller masses have to be moved during activation, the belt is protected during clamping by appropriately designed clamping edges, the device is narrow (width c) and the components are designed to be cheap. The plate clamping principle can be used in retraction clamping devices, deflection clamping devices and self-sensing clamping devices. <IMAGE>
