A peelable self-processing photographic film unit comprises a mask member (2) formed with an opening (2a), spacer members (7) adhered to both side margins of the mask member, a transparent cover (6) attached to the mask member through the spacer members, a photosensitive sheet (5) attached to the mask member so that it can be exposed through opening (2a). The photosensitive sheet includes an adhesive layer (8) covered by a peelable protective sheet (9), a supporting sheet (18) which bears an image receiving layer (17), a peelable interlayer (16) and a photosensitive layer (15) coated thereon. The photosensitive sheet has a length shorter than the film unit. The film unit may include a coloring member providing a color change upon contact with the developer reagent for giving a visible indication of the time of completion of the self-processing of the film unit. <IMAGE>
