PURPOSE:To display an object which is prescribed by the density distribution in an actual three-dimensional space in a real and high-quality picture with high efficiency by obtaining the surface form of a subject as a numerical mode of a 2-variable/univalent function. CONSTITUTION:A display 201 is connected to a computer processing part 203 via a controller 202 and at the same time a display data file 204 is also connected to the part 203 directly. In a graphic system of such a constitution, a cumulonimbus cloud, for example, is displayed. A numerical model 114 of a 2-variable/univalent function for display said cloud is formed in a virtual three-dimensional space V-U-W as the height data on a lattice point in a grid area 112. Then the model 114 is tilted by an angle theta so that the boundary of the model 114 is recognized as a multi-level function when viewed from a display screen 113. Thus the shading process is possible in the same way as the display of a normal artificial object with use of the model 114. |
