Device (10) for centring pneumatic tyres on vehicles which are to be mounted on a rim (12) with radially inwardly pointing rim flanges (13). Centring levers (39) which can be displaced axially towards the tyre (11) and are arranged distributed over the circumference are provided on each side. The centring levers (19) can be moved into an operative connection with the tyre (11) by means of axially displaceable clamping bells (22) and can be acted on by axially outwardly directed tensile forces (25). The centring levers (19) are constructed as two-armed levers and have clamping hooks (29) which engage at one end behind the beads (13) of the tyre (11) and at the other end clamping heads (28) which can be moved into an operative connection with the clamping bells (22). <IMAGE>
