This device supplements the sealing produced around a vertical shaft outlet 6 by one or more seals 12, 13 and/or by a ring 14. There is provided, below the seals 12, 13 and/or the sealing ring 14, a fixed cup 16 surrounding the vertical shaft 6 and capable of recovering the possible leaks of a fluid at the outlet of this shaft 6.
