PURPOSE:To evade the appearance of a scanning line on a recording image and to eliminate the need for adjustments for reducing pairing by providing a memory, etc., stored with data corresponding to density values in addresses corresponding to positions. CONSTITUTION:When an address signal (random number) is generated by a random number generating device 2 at random, data in random addresses are read out of the memory 1. Those data correspond to the density values. An unblank signal generator 3 generates unblank signals UNB as many as the density values. Then an address signal is converted by a D/A converting device 4 into analog position signals X and Y and an analog recording device 5 writes the signals UNB in locations specified with the signals X and Y. Then the data in the addresses are read out in order to form dots of corresponding density, so that an image is formed and recorded by the device 5.
