The device (1) has a connecting structure for connecting support elements (2, 3) and achieving utilization configuration in which one of the elements is secured with respect to the other element and a storage and/or transport configuration, in which relative movement is achieved between the elements. The former support element has a stabilization structure to stabilize a portable stove (20) and the latter support element with a stabilization structure to stabilize a portion of a cooking vessel (30). An independent claim is also included for a cooking assembly, comprising a support device.
