摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To accurately detect an electrode by extracting the color video signal of a defective part where a white ceramic material is exposed because a chip resistance electrode film is absent, counting the extracted signal, and deciding whether or not the electrode film is absent. CONSTITUTION:The reverse surface of the ceramic substrate part 1a of a chip resistance component 1 is irradiated with a red color light beam 2 by using a red color light source 3 and an irradiation lens 4 and the red light is diffused to illuminate the inside of the substrate part 1a. Then the range of inspection of the electrode film part 1b filmed on the end surface of the component 1 is picked up by using an optical lens 6 and a color image pickup element 7 to obtain a color video signal. A color video signal extraction part 8 extracts only the red color video signal of a part where the exposed part turns red, i.e. electrode film absence part 1c owing to the exposure of the substrate 1a due to the absence of the film par 1b from said color video electric signal, an area counting part 9 counts the extracted signal, and a quality decision output part 10 decides the counted value of the area to inspect and output whether or not there is the defective part 1c. Thus, the accurate electrode detection is performed.</p>
