PURPOSE:To achieve prevention of sucking of air into a nozzle in start of use and in non-use time, and prevention of drying of ink from the nozzle in non-use time, by a method wherein two valves of a gate one and a release one are opened and closed by shift of timing according to switching to use time or non-use time of an ink jet head. CONSTITUTION:When an ink jet head is used, a release valve 14 is under a state where an ink supply part 22 is hermetically closed. A gate valve 8 is moved upward from a bottom face of an ink tank 1 to its upper position, and an ink supply hole 21 is opened. Therefore, ink in the tank 1 is supplied to an ink supply part 3 through the supply hole 21, and is sent into the ink jet head 5 via an ink supply tube 4 therefrom. In the case where the ink jet head is not used, when a motor 10 is counterclockwise rotatively driven after capping a cap 9 on a top of the ink jet head 5 from a use state, eccentric cams 12, 13 are respectively rotated according to each eccentric amount. Then, the gate valve 8 comes down to close the ink supply hole 21 by hermetical closing with its packing 15, and ink pressure in the ink supply path 3 increases. |
