PURPOSE:To secure the stability in running at the time of cornering and running straight ahead by constituting elastic members arranged between a shaft member and car body side members in a strut assemblies in such a way that the tilt of the shaft member can be transformed into the transversal movement of the shaft member. CONSTITUTION:A suspension device 1 is equipped with strut assemblies 2, besides, the strut assemblies 2 are equipped with a shock absorber 3 and the like. In addition, the shock absorber 3 is housed in a cylinder 3a in such a way that a piston rod 3b is freely slidable, moreover, the upper end section of the piston rod 3b is mounted on car body side members 13 via elastic members 12. And when a wheel 7 is steered, the piston rod 36 is tilted by a moment based on the dislocation between a damper shaft (m) and a king pin shaft (1) while being rotated around the damper shaft (m). In this case, the elastic members 12 are so constituted in such a way that the tilt of the piston rod 3b can be transformed into the movement in the transversal direction. |
