Immunosuppressive factor consisting of a non-dialysable protein having a molecular weight of the order of 180 KD, an isoelectric point of the order of 5 to 6, which has a selective suppressive activity on the proliferation of the lymphocytes, in particular of human origin and which is preferably isolated from human seminal plasma. Process for obtaining said immunosuppressive factor by purification of human seminal plasma. Applications, in particular as a drug.
