A vehicle propelled by walking legs with two types of leg elements which engage on the vehicle platform, are loaded alternately and of which one type can be lengthened or shortened relative to the other, and the two types, one of which has the vehicle platform, can be displaced relative to each other. Provided between the displaceable flat leg elements and their bottom plate 2 [lacuna] vehicle platform or base plate 1 are rolling elements for transmitting the relative movements by rolling friction. The rolling elements comprise bearing needles 7 with axially movable flat cages 8 with lower raceways 5, allocated to the bottom plate 2 of the non-extensible leg element, or placed thereon, and with further upper raceways 10, allocated to the base plate 1, or placed on the underside thereof. Upper and/or lower raceways 10 and 5 are inclined with respect to the horizontal or have a curvature in the rolling direction, the slope of which decreases and increases again with respect to the horizontal before or after a maximum or minimum. <IMAGE>
