Hydraulic valve with the following features: A housing (1, 21) has a cylinder space (25) which is closed off on both sides by an insert (20; 22), a groove with a sealing ring (60) being provided. At the two sides, pressure supply lines (27, 28, 29) lead through the insert (20; 22) or through the housing into the cylinder space (25) in front of the two end faces of a piston (26) arranged in the cylinder space (25). In between, a consumer feed line (47, 44, 11) leads through the housing (1, 21) out of the cylinder space (25), specifically out of an annular space (41) which is made in the wall of the cylinder space (25) and is closed off at its two sides by a groove (42) cut out on the wall of the cylinder space (25) and having a sealing ring (43). In its one end position, the piston (26) bridges the one sealing ring (43) by means of at least one passage (48), running lengthwise in the piston (26) from the end face of the piston (26), and a radial connection (49) of the passage end to the piston surface, where the connection opens out with an annular gap (49) or a row of holes in the annular space (41). In its other end position, the piston (26) bridges the other sealing ring (43) in the same way or does not bridge it. <IMAGE>
