PURPOSE:To enhance diagnostic efficiency by effectively using both of a three- dimensional image and a CT image, by displaying the CT image corresponding to the arbitrary indicated position on the three-dimensional image along with the three-dimensional image. CONSTITUTION:The three-dimensional image formed by a three-dimensional image preparing apparatus 12 utilizing the sections #1-#n of a CT tomographic image memory 11 is once stored in a three-dimensional image memory 10. The content of the memory 10 is read along a scanning direction according to the indication of the address from the outside to be displayed on a CRT 15. The three-dimensional image is displayed on a display picture 1. This three- dimensional image 3 is an image falsely made three-dimensional by perspective and a segment 4 is drawn on the three-dimensional image along a horizontal direction using a mouse or joystick. A CT tomographic image is selected by the display of this segment 4 and a selected CT image 5 is displayed on the left lower region of the picture 1.
