<p>PURPOSE: To provide a heat-shrinkable packaging film and a bag superior in the general resistance, shrinkability and orientability by forming at least one layer with a specific ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer. CONSTITUTION: An ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer belongs to a linear polyethylene (VLDPE) of very low density, and includes alpha-olefin with six or more carbon atoms per molecule, having a density of about 0.910 g/cc or less, and a melt index of about 2 or less, e.g. 4-methyl-pentenel-, hexene- and octene-1 or the like, as a comonomer. This VLDPE preferably forms an inner layer of a multilayer film. This film is manufactured by a tubular 'blow bubble', or the flat slot die extrusion. The thermal shrinkability is applied to the film by cooling the film and extending and orienting the same by the tenter or inflate bubble. The possibility of the fracture can be reduced by using the bag made from this film in the automated packaging method.</p> |
