PURPOSE: A broadcasting service method is provided to carry out a common broadcasting service by allocating an identical traffic channel to a plurality of users located in an identical cell area. CONSTITUTION: A BTS(Base Transceiver Subsystem) provides service information for a common broadcasting service as a broadcast message to all the users located in an identical cell through a paging channel(S200). The first user attempting call access transmits a mobile origination message to the BTS to request the assignment of a desired common traffic channel(S201). The BTS transmits a null traffic to the first user through a forward traffic channel(S202). The BTS settles a resource of the forward traffic channel to carry out the common broadcasting service and transmits the resource information of the settled forward traffic channel as a channel assignment information notification message to the first user through the paging channel(S203). The user, receiving information for the settled forward traffic channel through the channel assignment information notification message, recognizes a forward common traffic channel using null traffic information transmitted through the settled forward traffic channel. The first user drops a backward traffic channel and doesn't transmit a preamble(S205). The BTS transits a call setup state for the forward traffic channel to a call connect state and starts broadcasting service through the connected forward traffic channel(S206).
