PURPOSE: To make it possible to efficiently separate polluting particles in gase ous fluids by constituting the regions of a part of the outside surface of a closed body having a fluid inflow openings and outflow opening by separating surfaces which are the fluid inflow openings. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus is provided with first and second profile members 30, 32 which are combined in an opposite state, are arranged in at least two columns and constitute an opened ring shape in the cross section. The free end edge along the longitudinal direction of the end of the member 30 overlaps on the free end edge along the longitudinal direction at the end of the member 32. The projections along the longitudinal direction are extended from the inside surface of the members 30, 32. The apparatus is provided with a closed body having the fluid inflow openings 22 and the outflow opening 24 and the regions of at least a part of the outside surface of the body comprise the separation surfaces 14, 16, 18, 20 which are the fluid inflow openings 22. Consequently, the polluting particles in the gaseous fluids are separated and, therefore, the apparatus may be provided with the large separation surfaces even in the restricted space state.
