PURPOSE:To contrive improvement in strength, by adding a specific amount of In2O3 to a composition expressed by the formula LnBa2Cu3O7-x (Ln is Y, La, etc.). CONSTITUTION:This superconducting material is prepared by adding 2-20wt.% In2O3 to a composition expressed by the formula LnBa2Cu3O7-x (Ln is one or more metals of Y, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu). Strength thereof is improved by adding the above-mentioned In2O3 without deteriorating superconducting characteristics. If the amount of the abovementioned In2O3 added is <2%, effects of addition are not recognized. If the amount exceeds 20%, the superconducting characteristics are deteriorated. |
