Radial piston pump

In a radial piston pump, pistons (10) deliver oil to pressure channels (21) via a so-called flat spiral spring valve (20). The pressure channels (21) lead to a common annular channel (25) which is created e.g. by a countersink (27) of a housing bore (7) and a radial wall (5) of a collecting space (4). The annular channel (25) is connected to the collecting space (4) via a discharge channel (26). The oil which is delivered flows in a circular-path flow through the annular channel (25) and is then deflected through the discharge channel (26) into the collecting space (4). This results in a reduction in the design-related pressure pulsations in piston pumps and consequently also in less pump-running noise. <IMAGE>
