PURPOSE:To improve transmission efficiency, by degenerating facsimile picture element information in the direction of main scanning and subscanning, and compressing the pattern storage information of a dot matrix image by band compressing coding. CONSTITUTION:A central control section CC103 of a CPU100 sets character information and requests the generation of picture information to a picture information generator PGEN110. Thus, a picture information generating control section PGCONT114 outputs virtual screen information, which is transmitted to a cocer COD120 one by one line's share, where band compressing coding is performed. The partial information of the coded virtual screen is transferred to the CPU100, degenerated with the incorporated program processing and assembled as the one virtual screen information and transmitted to a communication line. |
