PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid developer capable of forming images of high quality even on both sides of paper, by dispersing 3 components of a thermosublimable dye particles insoluble in a liquid carrier or resin particles contg. said dye, a resin obtd. by suspension polymn. in the liquid carrier, and wax or polyolefin resin particles. CONSTITUTION:The liquid developer is prepd. by mixing 3 components of (component A) thermosublimable dye particles insoluble in the liquid carrier of a petroleum type aliphatic hydrocarbon and having 1-60mum average particle diameter or coated with a resin insoluble in the liquid carrier or dispersed into binder resin particles, (component B) fine particles of a resin obtd. by suspension polymn. in the liquid carrier, such as methacrylate-glycidyl methacrylate copolymer, (component C) fine particles of polyethylene rein or paraffin wax in the liquid carrier in 0.5-5 A/B weight ratio and 0.2-2 (A+B)/C weight ratio. A nonvolatile colorant is incorporated in the component A or B. As a result, a toner fixed first on one side of paper does not cause deterioration of image density, stains on the background, lack of the toner on the solid parts, or the like even when said toner is rubbed with the hot fixing plate during fixation of an image to be fixed next, and high quality images can be obtained on both sides. |
