PURPOSE: To specify various kinds of musical sound synthesis even by an easily understandable input format by providing the electronic musical instrument with a means for selecting one of outputs from plural waveform generation modules and a means for selecting an output from a constitutional unit. CONSTITUTION: In order to input and specify a musical sound synthesizing method for sound sources 6, 15 from a user, plural time-divided waveform generation modules 15M are divided into continuous module units each of which consists of two modules, each module pair is set up as a constitutional unit, the relation of modules in each unit is selected from addition, phase and evenlope relation, and whether the continuous constitutional units are provided with phase relation or independently outputted as musical sounds is selected. Since a user inputs a musical sound synthesizing method to the electronic musical instrumet by specifying the connection type of respective parts of plural waveform generation modules expressing musical sound synthesizing methods and selection cources for extremely abundant musical sound synthesizing methods are provided, the musical sound synthesizing capacity of the sound sources 6, 15 is sufficiently utilized. |
