A device for the removal of mussels from mussel collectors comprises a substantially cuboid frame, having a front wall defining an input opening capable of receiving mussel collection means, a rear wall opposed to said front wall and defining an exit opening for said mussel collection means, and a bottom wall defining an exit opening for mussels removed from said collection means. The frame has at least one pair of contrarotatable mussel removers mounted therein so as to define a space between the removers and the front wall of the frame. Each remover comprises a shaft having longitudinally mounted thereon a plurality of flanges, each having flexible mussel removal media affixed thereto. One end of each of said shafts is adapted to be driven by a drive means. |
