Disclosed is a plug connector that is provided with a plug housing, and a plurality of plug terminals that are housed in the plug housing. The plug connector is fitted in a receptacle connector having a receptacle terminal, and is coupled to a sheet-like cable having a cable terminal, thereby being capable of electrically connecting between the receptacle terminal and the cable terminal. Each of the plug terminals has a contact section and a coupling section. The contact section can be in contact with the receptacle terminal, and the coupling section can be coupled to the cable terminal. In a state wherein the plug connector is fitted in the receptacle connector, the coupling section is disposed such that the coupling section is exposed from the plug housing.
